I just love this recipe, and this is great for people who are GF, as long as they use GF soy sauces, etc. I will def make again, especially for a pot luck, it makes a ton. Thank you for the recipe, I can't seem to find anything like it anywhere else.Miss Hattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03476491623069452868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-67858347063071513402011-07-17T23:12:06.963-04:002011-07-17T23:12:06.963-04:00Just put the rice cake in the oven. My family is from Taiwan as well, and your blog has been so great to follow. I know this is an old post, but I just searched for the dish online, and I think you might be the only person with a recipe. Thanks again!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09019705281747140643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-76126836859858935872009-12-30T13:37:19.852-05:002009-12-30T13:37:19.852-05:00Well, my attempts to make this ended up slightly f...Well, my attempts to make this ended up slightly failed but still delicious.

I got to the butcher shop twenty minutes after closing and.. they were out of pork.. so ground turkey it was. It tasted just fine though.

And then my rice cake failed to set (I think it's actually my rice flour - last time I made my fave turkish pudding with it, it also failed). So after giving it an extra twenty minutes crossing my fingers, I switched to fusion, and served it over udon noodles to much success.

The rice goo is going to be my breakfast with a little maple syrup ;)

Sam (The Second Lunch)Sam @ The Second Lunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02323389406883427075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-11477585511575868162009-12-08T10:53:16.165-05:002009-12-08T10:53:16.165-05:00my mom needs to learn more recipes from your mom!my mom needs to learn more recipes from your mom!LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15699374222298902342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-71387357063093846182009-12-07T23:14:59.634-05:002009-12-07T23:14:59.634-05:00i've never heard of this before, but it looks ...i've never heard of this before, but it looks greatJustinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18109997692267088407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-20615955866377560942009-12-07T19:16:42.940-05:002009-12-07T19:16:42.940-05:00looks sooo tasty!! of course i'm writing this ...looks sooo tasty!! of course i'm writing this while having not yet eaten dinner...Anna-Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11321442356843220624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2291750757290062594.post-91035463572196850942009-12-07T15:58:35.603-05:002009-12-07T15:58:35.603-05:00Thank you so much for posting the recipe!!! I've never tried baking it. My mom always steamed them in individual rice bowls in a huge steamer. Of course I can't do that at home, since I don't have one of those ginormous bamboo steamers. This oven idea looks cool. Thanks for sharing!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11228099508714697864noreply@blogger.com
